Certainly in contention with Nirvana's Unplugged for "best psuedo-acoustic set by a grunge band to be televised on MTV". When Layne Staley finally croaks out his first lyrics on "Nutshell," I'm usually pretty sure this album wins.

I appreciate the influence of this album, with some folks crediting it with inventing noise rock. But it's the one from the Velvets that I listen to least. Influence isn't everything.
