The only Alkaline Trio album I can get all the way through, and that’s with a heavy dose of high school nostalgia. The lyrics have aged quite poorly, but the way the bass, drums, guitar, and production come together is really unique and impactful still. If Chicago had a “sound” in the late 90’s, this is it.
