Mostly straight-ahead techno, with only a few hints of what Aphex Twin would become. While Classics was recorded around the same time as Selected Ambient Works, Classics definitely feels the "lighter" of the two. This is Aphex Twin while he was still learning how to make the sequencing machines do his bidding. "Digeridoo", "Polynomial-C" and "Digital Bubblebath 1" are the standout tracks. Others tend to go on just a bit too long.
